Electric Motors

On FWD models, the high-capacity lithium-ion battery pack powers the electric motor that is positioned in the front of the vehicle. AWD models boast two motors, one in front and one in the rear.



bZ4X’s All-Wheel-Drive system adds X-MODE® and Grip Control engineered to help you handle tricky terrain like mud and snow.1



The new e-TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform provides a lower center of gravity elevating driving dynamics.



Instead of a gear shift, choose Drive, Neutral or Reverse with the simple turn of dial.

bZ4X all-electric SUV makes it easy to stay in charge, with a standard Level 1 charging cable, and Level 2 and 3 charging connectors, so you can plug-in at home, at work, or at most public charging stations across the country.


Level 1 Charging: Standard

A great pick for drivers with short commutes. You can charge anywhere there is a common household 3-prong household outlet.


Level 2 Charging: Faster

The best setup for faster charging at home. You’ll find Level 2 chargers at public charging stations. Level 2 Home Chargers like ChargePoint can be installed at home by a licensed electrician.


Level 3 Charging: Fastest

Under ideal conditions, it can be the quickest way to charge up on the go2. Currently only available at select public charging stations.3
